Getting some ME time often means the beach, rest, and writing the word.
My husband is working a gig in Daytona Beach this week and I decided to join him. Who passes up a free oceanfront condo on the beach? Not me!
I’m sitting on the bed this morning in the hotel, sipping my coffee with my balcony door open so I can peacefully listen to the waves rolling in.
Ahhh!! My favorite sound.
Mental Breaks
We all need mental breaks now and then. A time to stop, breath, reflect.
Recently, a friend of mine blessed me with an incredible gift. I’ve had what seems like hundreds of journals over the years. This one is different. It’s called Write the Word.
It’s one of many products designed by Lara Casey at Cultivate What Matters. It has been such a wonderful addition to my morning ritual.
INTENTIONAL MORNINGS
Sometimes with the changes in our schedules, we have to be intentional in taking the time to sit and get grounded each morning in preparation for the day ahead.
The Writing the Word journal has a duo purpose by writing the word of God as you are reading it!
I don’t know about you, but when I read, sometimes it just doesn’t “stick”.
Writing out the Word can literally revolutionize your day by making the it come ALIVE.
As busy women, our time is precious to us and often we skip the very thing that we need the most to live with purpose each day.
Taking time in the morning to refocus on what matters most.
Meditating on the truth that the word of God brings to us in every season of our life can make a significant difference in our daily mindset.
Words for the Day
It is always incredible when I’m led to read exactly what I needed at that moment.
Often, it is something that I will be given the opportunity to share with someone later that same day.
I love how this journal also gives me the opportunity to do a morning “brain dump” in the “whats on your heart” section.
It even gives me a place to choose a Word for the Day.
I am continually blessed by the changes it is making in my own life as well as in those around me.
If you are a journal and all things paper freak like I am, check out Cultivate What Matters.
Remember to take time for yourself first thing each morning.
It can completely change your perspective and jump start an incredible day ahead.
Live light,
Lucia
