This past week I had the privilege of hosting a 5-Day Challenge to Honor Yourself with a lovely group of women.
It has been incredible to see them make intentional steps to honor themselves on a daily basis.
I’ve been learning lately that one way to practice honoring yourself is by creating space in your life for what matters most.
Are you struggling to create space and experience more joy and peace in your life?
Is there a feeling of being disconnected from the things that really matter most to you?
Maybe you are trying to juggle it all and feel exhausted in the process?
Would you like to experience greater ease and trust in the decisions that you have to make everyday?
CREATING SPACE TO HONOR YOURSELF
Creating space in your life is like giving yourself a gift.
A gift to enjoy your days and your surroundings and those you treasure most.
It allows you to live more and love better.
Click over to THIS POST and learn how to create more space in your life.
As God does the work in us, we make the space for honoring ourselves, and we participate in that good work by taking hold of the various ways He supplies sustenance to our minds, bodies, and spirit.
Incorporating life-giving and restorative habits into our lives is an incredible way to honor the gifts we’ve been.
HOW TO HONOR YOURSELF
Below are the 5 ways to honor yourself that we learned about in our challenge.
- Starting the day with intention and a routine that will set our mind on things above as we move into the rest of our day.
- Remembering to honor our body as a temple pursuing healthy meals, adequate exercise, and restful sleep faithfully stewarding our health and well-being.
- Continually work on our mindset and the thoughts we think throughout our day.
- Setting healthy boundaries in our relationships and making peace where there has been discord.
- Creating space in our days by proactively reducing non-essential things in our life to make space for restorative, intentional habits and leaving appropriate margin in our calendar for the things that matter the most.
As women, we at times are depleted and worn out because we absorb trauma, relational discord, financial stress, etc. etc.
All too often, we simply don’t nourish ourselves with restorative habits to counterbalance the difficult things we experience.
Remember, we are called to live in abundance, not just be passive recipients of His attention and provision.
Let’s take responsibility for our side of the equation on a daily basis.
We can learn to be consistent by taking up the task of not only living within our personal limits but also drawing deep from the well of wisdom.
What is one way you could shift your priorities to create space for what matters most?
